During August 2012 Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market’s is hosting Luna 1878 winter night market on Wednesday nights.
Apart from the great music and food there are two interesting wine events at the market I recommned
La Luna will play host to a rare selection of wines this August, thanks to the crew at Winemakers without Borders. Bellwether Vermentino, Oliver’s Taranga Small Batch Fiano, Ducks in a Row Nero D’Avola, Running with Bulls Barossa Tempranillo, Esperanza Monastrell and Taltarni Sangiovese will be among the wines available for punters at Luna 1878.
Also available will be an exclusive release of Clover Hill’s Tasmanian Cuvee, Arete’s barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc, Chapel Hill’s Sangiovese Rosé and Battle of Bosworth’s organic McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Winemakers Sue Bell, Brioni Oliver, Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith, Glenn James, Richard Bate, Sam Wigan; Karina Dambergs, Bryn Richards and Robert Haywood will be “in the house” at Luna on August 15th.
Also at La Luna will be my friends at Rewine who will be able to warm you up with a nice hot mulled wine.
